About Forest Fungi Farm
Forest Fungi Farm was established in 2015 when a hobby mushroomed into a part time business.
Fun Guy Jack Sedlak and his former partner Fun Gal Christine Craycroft discovered they were both mycophiles soon after they met. Their first texts to each other were about mushrooms: pictures of oyster mushrooms growing out of coffee grounds in Chris's basement, and Jack's carved wood mushroom lawn art. Soon they joined the Ohio Mushroom Society and started attending mushroom forays to learn more, while experimenting with growing in the basement and back woods. They started with logs that were leftover from a tree harvest on Jack's 12-acre tree farm in 2014 and inoculated with the help of friends and family, homebrews and pizza. The mushrooms took over in 2015 and were successful in getting Forest Fungi Farm started to spread their goodness across the region!
